Week 13 Portraits

This picture is of my son, Cameron.  I decided to take a full length picture of him as he leaned against the railing.

I tried a closer shot of Cameron than the last one.  I tried getting closer to his face, but thought that it made it lose something.  I chose this spot because the light was in the background.

This one I tried to frame his face in the branches of the white birch.  It gives his face a different look.  I also played with different angles on where I stood.  This angle seemed to be the best with less glare on his face.

Week 10 Paint

This is the original picture of the angel that sits on my porch railing.

I decided to use the paint brush and add a little color to the flowers and vine on it's head.  I also thought a little color on the lips would be nice as well.  This was fun to try.  It took a little work and steady hand on my laptop to make the lines come out the way I wanted them to.

Week 10 Text Tool

This is the original photograph of my son meeting the driver of his favorite Monster truck.
I chose viner handwriting for the font and put it on size 48.  I chose the purple to go with the truck itself.

Week 10 Cloning

I cloned the bottom leaf.  I found this feature to be pretty easy to use.  I had to play with the size of the brush to get the right size so that it didn't take too long and was fairly precise.

Week 9 Filters

This is the original photo of my sister-in-law on her wedding day

I removed the noise out of this picture.  It softens the picture making it look a little more vintage.  I like the it makes the picture look.

This is the original picture of my sweet peas that I grew in my garden.

In this picture, I chose the the fresco option under the artistic button.  I think it adds more character to the flowers, it shows the veins a bit more.  It also blurs the back ground a bit.  I also like the colors that it took on.

Week 8: Light & Color

I added light to this picture to change the color of the orange.  It seems that it changed the whole outlook on the mushrooms.

This is the original picture, taken in the late afternoon.

I darkened the picture a bit to get more color out of the barn boards and the green grass.  I didn't change it a lot, but just enough to make things pop out a little more.

This is the original photo of the tractor.  The brightness of the sun seems to bleach out some of the natural colors of the grass and the barn boards.
