I chose this picture for my complementary photo. I think the colors blend well together and give your eye multiple things to view.
I chose this lily as my analogous photo. The orange and yellow are close on the color wheel and blend well together. I like the texture in this flower as well.
Thought I would try my complimentary picture again. The pink is accented by the green of the stems.
Nice work on your project. The texture on the analogous photo looks so neat. It's really cool how it starts really dark in the middle and then lightens up towards the end. It worked perfectly for the color wheel.

ReplyDeleteThe bird photo is interesting, although not complementary colors. I like the diagonal of the shelf and if you'd moved your bird slightly more off center it would have been even more rule of thirds, adding to the dynamism. Complements are opposites on the color wheel. The opposite of yellow is purple, opposite of green is red. This birdie is mostly yellow,green,blue thus also analogous.
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw that flower, I was amazed at its bright color. Did you take a close up? It looks huge too! Great job. The bird is very cute, and has almost the same type of flower that is in your other photo. Great job!
ReplyDeleteI really like the bird photo, even though it doesnt follow the rules of compliment the point running around the back gives it a very realistic 3d effect through the photo. You can really see the shape of the piece in the way the pattern flows over it.
